President-Elect Nominees

Toni Lipscher

Toni is the Media Specialist at Marsh Pointe Elementary, A Florida Power Library, located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Through collaboration with her teachers, administration and staff, she believes in empowering students through project-based learning, research and technology for all grade levels. She is the 10 year Team Leader for her Fine Arts Team and serves on the Principal’s Leadership Team as well. Toni serves as the Digital Hub coordinator for FAME (Florida Association of Media in Education) and has also served on the Board. She has also presented at local and national events such as FAME, FETC, local technology and literacy conferences and for her own PBC Media Specialists. As an active member of her local association, Educational Media Association (EMA) of Palm Beach County, she is the current Corresponding Secretary and is a Past President and Parliamentarian. Within the district, Toni won PBC Outstanding Media Specialist of the Year 2019.

Region 1 Nominees

Morgan Evans

My name is Morgan Evans, and I am the Library Media Specialist at East Bay K-8 School, a proud Florida Power Library School located in Santa Rosa County. I began my teaching career after graduating from The University of West Alabama in 2007. After earning an M.Ed. in Library Media in 2009, I decided to spend a few more years in the classroom before making the leap into the library in 2016. This year marks my 11th year in the school library, and I love every minute of it. I am passionate about facilitating a library media program that fosters a love of reading in each of our students. Being part of FAME and participating in programs such as SSYRA help make that a reality. I am thankful for FAME and the support it provides our school library community. I had the honor of serving as the FAME Conference Committee Chair this past conference year, and got to witness the behind-the-scenes efforts that go into our organization.  That amazing experience reinforced my beliefs in why we do what we do. I would love the opportunity to get to serve our organization in other capacities to support students throughout our state. Thank you for the honor of being nominated and considered to serve on the FAME Region 1 Board of Directors. 

Alli Buffington

Hello FAME! I am a book lover in my 12th year of teaching in Santa Rosa County- I spent 5 years in third grade, 1 year in Gifted, and 5 years as a Media Specialist. I have been a FAME member for all of my years in the library. I have served 3 years on the 3-5 SSYRA committee and 1 year as conference co-chair for the 2025 FAME conference. I currently am serving as the SSYRA 3-5 Committee Chair. I am passionate about getting the book that makes each kid love reading into the hands of every student. I am so proud to be a part of this FAME community, where we have the opportunity to work together to make reading magic happen for all of our kids across the state of Florida.

Region 2 Nominees

Tricia Kuhlblank

With more than three decades in education and experience as both a classroom teacher for 15 years and 18 years as Media Specialist, Tricia Kuhblank brings proven leadership, creativity, and dedication to the profession. She has led literacy initiatives, presented professional development at FAME, supported technology integration, and helped build an award-winning Florida Power Library program.  As former President of BAME (Brevard’s version of FAME), building community and collaboration with her peers is her passion in helping others feel supported throughout our school libraries. 
Tricia believes Media Specialists are the heart of a school, connecting students to information, imagination, and opportunity. She is committed to advocating for our profession, supporting members, and ensuring that school libraries continue to thrive.
When school is out, Tricia loves to watch her FSU Seminoles, find a mountain view or go on a hike or watch Ted Lasso grabbing some positivity to share with friends.

Emily Gideon

Emily Gideon is an elementary Media Specialist with Duval County Public Schools in Jacksonville, Florida.
Before entering school librarianship, she served for several years as a Youth Associate with the Jacksonville Public Library, where she planned and led children's programming. She currently serves at Spring Park Elementary School and is passionate about helping students discover books they love while building strong, engaging library programs.
Emily has served on the inaugural SSYRA Orange Blossom List Committee and the FAME Legislative Committee, where she has advocated with Florida legislators on behalf of school libraries for the past two years. Locally, she has been an active advocate during Duval County School Board public comment sessions, supporting the restoration of full-time certified media specialist positions. She is proud to have been part of the community effort that resulted in the district restoring full-time elementary, middle, and high school media specialist positions.
She is committed to supporting Florida school librarians through collaboration, professional learning, and strong advocacy for high-quality school library programs. A self-described picky reader, Emily is also easily distracted by a cute dog.​

Region 3 Nominees

Jaclyn Crawford

I have been working in Florida school and public libraries for the last 11 years. I love being a librarian and working to create a warm and welcoming space for my students and colleagues. I was voted the 22-23 Media Specialist of the Year in Volusia County by my fellow media specialists. It was such an honor to be recognized by my peers in media education who are also doing the work. In 2024, I began running the Keep Florida Reading website, school board election surveys, and email campaigns at the request of then FAME president, Kris Smith. KFR has been an exciting opportunity for me to advocate for Florida school libraries and I look forward to continuing advocacy work as part of the FAME Board of directors.

Allison Kibbey

Allison has been the Director of Instructional Technology and Library Media for Orange County Public Schools since 2019. During her time in this role, she has successfully advocated for every school to have a certified media specialist, implemented high quality professional learning for all media specialists, and supported more than 10 schools on their journey to becoming Florida Power Library Schools. Allison previously served as the president of the Florida Association for Supervisors of Media and has been a teacher, media specialist, and district based administrator. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, gardening, and crafting.
