The Diversity Committee invites our members to support the University of Central Florida in celebrating Diversity Week from October 19th to the 23rd. The theme is, Stronger Together: Unified! Connected! Family! We recognize that in the year of COVID-19, coming together looks and feels different. We are hopeful and are optimistically believing that we can still bring attention to FAME and our vision of being a more diversified and inclusive organization. All of the activities and resources are FREE to the public, so feel free to share with your students, schools, and community.

Because students can read anywhere anytime, we recognize the importance to provide incentives and motivate independent reading now more than ever. It is our honor to work with FAME and the entire Florida community during these uncertain times. In an effort to keep students engaged and motivated to read, we are offering Remote Reading SSYRA Brag Tags® in small quantities to accommodate remote reading during school closures. We will ship directly to a home or "remote" address.
Homeschool Families and Public Schools: Here's how to participate in the SSYRA Reading Program. Readers of 3 (or more) will be able to vote for their favorite in the spring. Watch our social media accounts for a link to register to vote sometime in January. |
Our ask is simple: Teacher compensation plans should include all instructional personnel and conform to the FL Constitution and Statutes regarding collective bargaining.
