FAME and our partners at the Grey Robinson firm partner to communicate and strengthen our voices for our libraries.
We urgently request ALL members to contact their representatives and senators regarding bills listed in our Advocacy Center and use our Legislative Tools to help craft a message in support of all public, private, and charter school libraries in the state of Florida. If you cannot access the legislative tools or are not receiving our email updates, please JOIN TODAY! We continue to advocate for the inclusion of library media specialists in any state initiatives to bolster our ability to attract the best librarians. But our first priority is to ensure every student in the state of Florida has equal access to media programming and award-winning literature for self-selection, regardless of geographic location or type of school. FAME will always stand up for our students' right to read and stand behind our members in their efforts to provide for the students they serve. We need your help! Your voice can have a tremendous impact on your library as many groups are working to censor free access to information and silence diverse voices in K-12 schools. Please join us in the fight for fREADom! FAME'S 2023 Legislative Priorities |
